About the Role
MTS is hiring Trainee/Junior Design Engineers for its Automotive Product Design (R&D) team. Freshers and early-career engineers will work on real-time automotive component design, 3D CAD modeling, engineering drawings, product development, and design validation while gaining hands-on industry experience under experienced professionals.
Basic Qualifications
Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or Plastics Engineering
NTTF/CITD or equivalent technical qualification
2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 pass-outs
Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering and automotive systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Passion for automotive product design
Preferred Qualifications
M.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
Knowledge of CATIA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or UG NX
Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
Internship or academic projects in product or automotive design
Responsibilities
Create 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
Design and develop automotive components
Convert product concepts into engineering designs
Prepare manufacturing-ready drawings following GD&T standards
Modify and optimize product designs
Support prototype development, testing, and validation
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
Work on BIW, interior, exterior, seating, sheet metal, plastic, and EV components
