About the Role
AMD Telecom is hiring a Lead Embedded Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software components for next-generation computing platforms. The role involves developing embedded drivers, hardware bring-up, Linux and RTOS development, hardware-software integration, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ECE, EEE, or CSE
12+ years of experience in embedded systems development
Strong expertise in Embedded C programming
Experience with Linux kernel, RTOS, and device driver development
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Zephyr or FreeRTOS
Knowledge of ARM and RISC-V architectures
Experience in ASIC/SoC hardware bring-up
Familiarity with Git and version control
Basic Python scripting skills
Experience in hardware-software integration
Responsibilities
Design and develop embedded peripheral drivers
Develop software for Linux, Zephyr, and Baremetal environments
Participate in ASIC and hardware bring-up activities
Debug and resolve embedded software issues
Collaborate with architecture teams on future product designs
Optimize software performance using data-driven approaches
Research emerging technologies in embedded systems
Build strong technical collaborations across teams
