About the Role
Qualcomm is looking for Modem-RF Wireless Software Engineers to develop and validate software for Qualcomm’s Modem-RF wireless chipsets. The role involves working with RF hardware, modem/baseband, RF ASIC, physical layer, systems and test engineering teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent
- Strong C programming skills
- Understanding of RF and digital communication systems
- Understanding of embedded software
- Knowledge of software engineering concepts
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- C++ programming and debugging
- Embedded RTOS experience
- Knowledge of LTE or 5G wireless systems
- Knowledge of 5G NR or other Radio Access Technologies
- Modem or communication device driver development experience
- Understanding of wireless communication and radio architecture
- Experience with RF and hardware test equipment
Responsibilities
- Develop drivers for Modem-RF transceivers
- Develop and validate software for Qualcomm Modem-RF wireless chipsets
- Work with RF hardware, Modem/Baseband and RF ASIC teams
- Develop and optimize modem, RF transceiver and antenna/RF front-end software
- Improve system performance, factory yields and RF testability
- Investigate complex RF and modem issues
- Work with physical-layer teams to deliver new wireless features
- Collaborate with RF modem systems, hardware and test engineering teams
